The owners of Marañón Chocolate were instrumental in the formation and development of the Peru based, Discovery Hope which is a Micro-Lending Foundation. Its founder, Maggie Miller and her team provide micro-loans to women entrepreneurs in Peru and currently work with over 150 Peruvian families. Marañón Chocolate and Discover Hope are currently in the development stage of a pilot program to bring micro-lending programs to the women of the Marañón Canyon.
